Benefits of Oatmeal

Underneath all that fruit, yes there is oatmeal. I already did an oatmeal post but here is another one because its such a great staple for a healthy, balanced diet. I don’t know who can say no to a huge bowl of oatmeal in the morning topped with peanut butter and fresh fruit. It just hits!

Eating Oats is linked to an average 7% drop in LDL cholesterol. It also has antioxidants called avenanthramides, that protect you from free radicals and inflammation. A bowl of oatmeal can leave you feeling full and satisfied for hours as opposed to a sugary cereal, or pastries which give a sugar rush then have you crashing around lunchtime. Full of antioxidants, satisfying, versatile and easy to make oatmeal is a definite breakfast staple and a great addition to a healthy diet. Oatmeal is among the healthiest grains on the earth! Give it a try you just might like it.

Here is what is included in this oatmeal bowl I made

½ Cup Cooked Oatmeal

2 Tbsp Peanut Butter

2 Tbsps. Flaxseeds

1/4 cup Strawberries

1/4 Cup Blueberries

½  Chopped Apple
